Turkeys have a higher requirement for protein and energy than other species. The protein and fat content is therefore higher than in other poultry feeds.
Always keep 6 turkey hens per turkey stag. A stag's sperm is strong enough to fertilise a full clutch of eggs in one mating. Overly enthusiastic stags can injure the hens and even kill them.
Young turkeys need to be raised in an environment free of moisture and drafts. As soon as turkeys reach the age of 2 to 3 months, they are much more resilient and they can even withstand a snow storm!
