Ovium is Latin for Sheep. “The X-line” uses OviX as the collective name for all sheep.
Sheep are cloven-hoofed, i.e. the hoof is split into two parts on each foot. Sheep belong to the family of ruminants. This means that pre-digestion takes place before all the contents are ultimately sent to the final stomach compartment (abomasum). Just like cows, sheep also have 4 stomach compartments.
Sheep are ideal for keeping your meadows trimmed and clean, and also provide wool, milk and meat.
Sheep and copper (Cu) are not good friends! Surplus copper is stored in the liver and can find its way into the sheep's bloodstream. This excess of copper is fatal to the animal. Drenthe Heath Sheep are an exception to this rule and this breed even requires additional copper in its feed!
Deli Nature Sheep Pellet and Sheep Mixes are both without added copper.
